Attention ladies! I have seen this far to many times! When applying concealer and stopping at the end of the dark area I find it actually it enhances the dark circle/bags even more! Here are some easy techniques I find really work In reducing the appearance of dark circles.
1. Your under eye concealer should be a shade to two shades lighter than your foundation. ( I use L'Oreal super blend-able crayon concealer in w4-5).
2. Apply concealer with a brush in a upside down triangle shape it should begin right under your eye ending at the end of your nose. (From my experience, while great for applying foundation and blush, using my fingers melt my concealer and smudge it away even as I'm applying it. It also reaches the eye corner a lot better. Concealer needs to be placed precisely, or it's not worth applying.).
3. Let the concealer set and NOW use your finger to blend just the edges to match the rest of your face.

4. Set with a powder that helps keep it in place all day! ( a great setting powder is Air spun loose face powder).
